Gleeds to scale 539ft Broadgate Tower for LandAid charity

Gleeds has signed up as an official participant in LandAid’s annual London TowerAthlon challenge.

A team from Gleeds will face one of the property world's most exciting and extreme challenges - the London TowerAthlon - and raise money for disadvantaged young people across the UK.

With 3 people to a team, Gleeds will battle it out against competing construction firms to be crowned champion. The challenge requires teams to complete 3 different activities simultaneously; one member of the team will abseil down the 539ft Broadgate Tower, while the other two take on the building’s 877 stairs and cycle the fastest they can on the building’s ground floor plaza.

Organised by LandAid, the TowerAthlon will take place on Friday 18th September and be one of the first activities held as part of Gleeds Global Challenge, during which the company aims to raise £130,000 for charity in celebration of its 130th year in business.
