Gleeds’ projects amongst Scotland’s best in 2016

Two Gleeds’ projects have been recognised at the Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2016, with both the Gourock Public Realm and New Waverley developments scooping up awards at the ceremony held in Glasgow last week.

Gourock Public Realm won Best Townscape Regeneration Project in Scotland and is being celebrated for bring more investment and visitors to the area. Gleeds successfully delivered full pre and post contract cost management services on Gourock’s multi-million-pound infrastructure improvement scheme, helping to ease accessibility to the town centre and coastline.

Gleeds is also providing cost and project management support for Edinburgh’s ongoing £150 million New Waverley development, which includes ‘The Arches’ – a row of 19 newly renovated Victorian arches on East Market Street. The project won Commercial Project of the Year in Scotland and recognises that the C-listed brickwork, originally constructed in 1875, is responsible for bringing the historic area back to life.
