Cost Management / Quantity Surveying

The Gleeds Energy team has over 40 years` commercial management experience in the power generation industry, within Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Petrochemical and general engineering/manufacturing.
Due to an increase in our portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for cost and contract focused Quantity Surveyors, for roles based in Warrington.
We are looking to recruit ambitious, highly motivated Quantity Surveyors. You will be a high-performing `self-starter`, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will be part of a team providing support to a key client in the delivery of a full range of cost and contract management services including in the following areas:
Cost and contract management
- Valuations / assessment of Payment Applications
- Contract administration and management
- Risk management
- Contract change control
- Cost Management and reporting
- Cost assurance and audit
- Performance measurement
- Baseline development
- Assessment of interim and final accounts
We are seeking candidates with some experience in the services stated above, experience in the Nuclear or Civil engineering sectors is desired but not essential. Candidates will have a broad foundation of technical knowledge relating to cost and contract management, but candidate`s personal and communication skills, ambition, drive and energy will be considered more important to be successful. A collaborative mindset is essential.
Applicants should possess or be working towards an HNC or Degree qualification in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law or similar discipline. Membership of RICS is desirable but not essential, and full support to become Chartered will be provided by Gleeds where this is not already held.
