Richard joins Gleeds after more than 20 years with Buro Four where, as board director, he held overall responsibility for the commercial office division and provided strategic direction for the company. He brings with him a wealth of experience having managed a host of complex, high profile schemes for clients such as Derwent London, Crown Estate, Great Portland and British Land, amongst others.

As one of the business’ fastest growing divisions, Gleeds’ project management team turns over in excess of £50 million worldwide and boasts an impressive roster of projects for a range of blue chip clients. In his new role, Richard will be tasked with ensuring this growth continues across the UK, with a particular focus on London and surrounding areas.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Young said: “Gleeds has a strong track record in project management and a desire to build on that success.  I have personal experience of working with the team in the cost management arena and have always found them to be consummate professionals hence, when an opportunity arose to join them, I was pleased to grab the chance.”

Chairman of Gleeds worldwide, Richard Steer, added: “Richard has an excellent reputation within the property and construction industry and I am delighted to be welcoming him to the team. His experience speaks for itself and I have no doubt that he’ll be instrumental in driving our project management offering forward”.
